Seriously – we’ve never seen one quite like this. Are there truly multiple answers or can you solve it once and for all?

It’s that time again! The internet has brought forth another mind-numbingly crazy riddle – and this one truly has us all stumped.

Facebook user Nejib Tej has posted an equation containing horseshoes, horses, and cowboy boots – and it involves a good bit of algebra. Shouldn’t be too hard to solve…. right?

Within hours of being posted, there were thousands of comments and nobody could seem to agree on a correct answer!

Make sure that you have noticed the ‘x’ sign in the final equation and not mistaken it for a ‘+’.

Did you notice that in the final equation there is only 1 boot and 1 horseshoe? So, you have to half the values that you figured out in the previous equations.

Remember BIDMAS? It stands for brackets; indices; division; multiplication; addition; and subtraction and it means that you have to multiply the horse by the horseshoe before you at the cowboy boot!

In August, we witnessed the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey across Southern Texas — a force of nature that swept away everything in its path.

The hurricane took over 50 lives. It forced hundreds of thousands of people to flee their homes and demolished communities. And many people have been forced to start over from scratch.

It’s said that it will take years to rebuild the towns and areas that have been affected. But it’s in the hardest times that people have the opportunity to show their best side.

Ordinary people, volunteers, companies and non-profit organizations — they all came together in the aftermath of the hurricane to do everything in their power to help each other.

And Sake Sushi Bar and Lounge was no different.

When restaurant owners Phe Nguyen and Binh Nguyen in Port Arthur, Texas saw the disaster that was happening right in front of their eyes, there was no doubt that they wanted to lend a helping hand to their community.

So in this difficult time, they spent day and night at their restaurant, Sake Sushi Bar and Lounge, cooking — to try and provide hurricane victims with a delicious meal.

On one day alone, they managed to make thousands of food boxes!

Despite their enormous effort, the heroes didn’t receive any attention in the media.

This didn’t seem to bother the restaurant owners, though. It wasn’t like they were looking for any pats on the back.

Phe Nguyen’s son Keith, however, felt his father and co-workers deserved some sort of recognition. So he decided to speak out about their efforts in a Facebook post. Read it here:

Keith ended his post by saying, “If you’re ever in the area you should stop by and support these hard-working men, or even share their good deed on Facebook. They deserve it.”

But Keith had no idea what an impact the post would have. At the time of writing, it had been shared over 444,000 times and had received over a million interactions in total.

“Words cannot describe our gratitude and thanks for your great deed. We are all united!” one user wrote.

It may be a few years since you were at school, but it really doesn’t hurt to refresh your memory with a little brain teaser every now and then.

Sometimes you can put your brain to the test with something you think is easy, only to be reminded of how much you’ve forgotten since your days in the classroom.

This math trick has lit up the internet, perhaps because so many people are being reminded of just that. They think they have the answer only to find they got it so wrong.

What’s throwing many people attempting this puzzle is which calculation to do first. You have to consider the parentheses, multiplication, division and everything else.

I have to admit I struggled with this puzzle when I first saw it, but it was so obvious once I saw how to do it in the video below.

It seems I’m not alone in tearing my hair out over this puzzle. The answer is simple – once you know how.

I got it wrong but I enjoyed the math refresher and it took me back to my school days.

Solving different puzzles is a big part of my life. I think it’s a perfect way to relax and pass the time! It may sound strange that you relax by concentrating on something, but afterward, my head feels lighter and my thoughts seem clearer.

Then, of course, it doesn’t hurt that I get to satisfy my competitive instinct. The emotions and feelings of overcoming a challenge are something else!

The puzzles can vary, anything from crosswords to sudoku seems fun to try. Lately, I’ve been exploring other types of tests, like the one below, for example.

Brain exercise, just as physical training, is very important to live a long and happy life. Especially when you get a little older, it’s important to keep the mind active. One way to move those neurons is to solve different types of puzzles.

Okay, here’s the answer. Most people agree that 1 = 4 equals 5, but when you move onto the next line, where 2 + 5 equals 12, things get a little tricky. However, what you need to do is to ad 2 + 5 + the last result, which in this case is 5. Continue to do the same until the end, and you’ll be able to figure out the answer.

The second solution models itself after the equation: a + b = a(b). Obviously 1 + 5 = 5, but you could also reach 5 by adding 1 to 4 times 1. With the second line, 2 + 2(5) = 12. This is the sum also listed in the equation above. Continue to do the same until the end. And in case we weren’t clear enough, you can just watch the video.

The family of a 21-month-old girl diagnosed with stage 4 cancer is celebrating after it was announced she is now in remission.

According to reports, Molly Hughes had been diagnosed with neuroblastoma and spent 130 nights in hospital while she underwent a gruelling course of cancer treatments.

Fortunately, Molly turned out to be one tough cookie indeed …

Molly’s mother, Chelsea Hughes, said: “She would just bounce back after every treatment. I mean she would knock her down for few days and then she would be at playing again.”

The term #MollyStrong became the slogan for the little girl’s family and friends, who remained steadfast in their belief that she would win through despite her bleak prognosis.

Indeed, months after being handed the news that could have shattered their world, Molly’s mom has revealed how she received a phone call that produced very different effects.

“I fell to the ground after I got off the phone and I just hugged her for like five minutes,” she said.

She also credits prayers as having played a big role in her recovery against the odds.

“I believe that’s what helped her get through all this. With all the prayers she’s heard and which I can’t thank everyone enough for.”

We’re so thankful little Molly was one of the survivors of this terrible disease. And yet there remain millions of children out there who won’t be so lucky so long as no definitive cure exists.

When Nelson is not performing, he can be found on the farm he lives on with seventy horses he rescued just before they were slaughtered. In a recent interview, Nelson said that his ongoing rescue mission is part of the reason why he named his 700-acre Spicewood farm “Luck Ranch.”

“When you’re here, you’re in Luck, and when you’re not, you’re out of Luck,” Nelson said. “My horses are probably the luckiest horses in the world. They get hand-fed twice a day, and they were just ready to go to slaughter is probably the last thing they remembered, so they’re happy horses.”

Although he is about to reach the age of 87, Nelson still tours extensively, and he’s on the road 200 days a year.

“It’s a lot of traveling and being away from home,” Nelson said of his schedule. “But that’s what we do.”

Though he is now at an advanced age, Nelson is not even considering retirement.

“I retire after every show,” Nelson said. “I say, ‘That’s it, I’m not goin’ no more,’ but then we hang out awhile and people (his band) feel like playing, and so we go play again.”

Jared Blackwelder, a farmer from Springfield Missouri, was feeding his dairy cows on Saturday morning with his wife Misty. The happy couple had no idea this would be the last time they would see the herd alive.

Heavy spring rains had caused some flooding recently, but the worst seemed to have passed. Jared and Misty weren’t concerned when they heard some rumbling in the distance. They left the small herd alone to graze in the pasture until their evening milking. The Blackwelders were devastated when they returned just a few hours later.

After walking through the empty pasture, Blackwelder found all 32 dairy cows dead just inside the tree line. The entire herd had been struck by lightning.

The Wright County Missouri Farm Bureau posted images of the dairy cows to their Facebook page asking viewers to pray for the Blackwelders. MFB President Stan Cody told CBS News “it’s a common occurrence. It does happen. The thing that made this the worst was just the sheer number of cows that were affected.” Cody, who raises beef cows, has also lost a cow to lightning. “You’re at the mercy of mother nature,” he said.

After inspecting the cows, a local veterinarian confirmed that lightning was the cause of death. Until now the veterinarian had never seen a lightning strike kill more than 6 cows. He believes the herd was huddled together under the trees seeking shelter from the storm.

Jared was absolutely heartbroken. “It’s not like they are pets. But the ones I’m milking, I’ve raised every one of them,” he said in an interview with the Springfield News-Leader. “Dairy cattle are a little different because you mess with them twice a day. It knocks you hard.”

Each dairy cow was worth somewhere between $2,000 and $2,500. The Blackwelders have estimated the total loss at more than $60,000. They have insurance, but the farmers do not believe it will be enough to cover such an incredible loss.

Cody confirmed that the meat from the cows was unsalvageable. “Those animals are damaged and of course they had been there for a few hours when he found them,” he said. “In processing an animal, there’s a process that needs to be gone through. They wouldn’t have been fit for human consumption.”

Representatives from the local Farm Service Agency have reached out to the MFB. The loss of a herd can break a dairy farm, but the FSA has a Livestock Indemnity Program to help farmers get back on their feet after suffering a natural disaster such as flooding, lightning, or blizzards.

Critics outside of the farming community blamed the Blackwelder for not providing adequate shelter. Cody quickly came to their defense saying that most farmers in Missouri do not have a separate building for their dairy or beef cows. “This was nothing that he had any control over,” Cody said.
