You would think that when changing your body composition by losing fat and getting leaner, you’ll weigh less, not more. But the internet has once again proven us that a transformation picture is worth a thousand words. And you won’t definitely need a scale when you can measure your progress with these pictures just fine. That’s right. Don’t let that little device define you.
1. Don’t let numbers mess with your head ladies.
2. “My progress isn’t mind-blowing or jaw-dropping; I’ve put weight ON since I initially lost body fat in my first round of BBG. But I’m proud of my #consistency over these last almost-3 years of my #postpartum fitness journey.”
3. Next time someone tells you you’ve put on weight, take it as a compliment.
4. “The scale is a bully!” That’s right. Don’t let it affect your mood.
5. The scale does not show the fat you’ve lost or the muscle you’ve gained.
6. “Not only has my body composition completely changed (and no, muscle clearly does not equal bulky ????), but I am stronger, more confident, and more self-assured — all things that can’t be measured by that number on the scale.”
7. Aging like a fine wine with some extra pounds of muscles.
8. That’s what +5 pounds will do to your body. They’ll turn you into a model.
9. The weight number is not the only difference in these before/after pictures. Together with weight, these ladies have also gained confidence.
10. Gorgeous!
11. “I’m so happy to ditch the scale because it’s “success” was never permanent and it’s numbers, I now know, are meaningless.”
12. “So the question to ask yourself is — Would you rather weigh less and have the body composition on the left? Or would you rather weigh more and have less flab/more definition like on the right?”
13. You don’t have to lose weight to have a toned body.
14. Wow! “Just your typical “the scale is a dumb bitch” post.”
Okay, I’m throwing my scale away.
These pictures just prove that you can transform your body without losing weight, so ladies, don’t stress yourself about numbers and focus on being healthy.
